A Film & Heritage Project

An integrated film and performance project, inspired by intriguing heritage site.
Recently we have worked in partnership with Open Theatre – to create films which were inspired by the Cluedo mystery game concept. More information can be found on the official WhoDunnits! website, which you can access here
Each wonderful film location had a dedicated young film crew from our BFI Film Academy students, who brought to life the mini dramas inspired by the mysteries uncovered in our detective work.
Working with 2 special schools and an integrated actor team, stories were devised after visiting each site … what tales emerged? What mysteries and characters inspired our young crew?
Open Theatre have a reputation for their high quality integrated performance programmes.

The result of this project was 4 short films, which each heritage site can use to bring new insights into their impressive historical buildings, museums and sites.
These films were launched at Highbury Hall on January 24th!
Funded through the National Heritage Fund we have been working over the past year to develop partnerships with some of the most amazing heritage locations in the Midlands : Aston Hall Birmingham, The Coffin Works (Birmingham), Lund Fort(Coventry) and Black Country Living Museum (Dudley).
An interactive map can be found on the WhoDunnits! website, which you can also access by clicking on the image.
